The menu is excellent. The food was memorable. The soft shell crab was outstanding lightly battered, large and available plain or with a fresh lemon butter or crawfish cream sauce. All were great. The Steak Diane was beautiful when served and tasted even better. Service was as good or better than the food. The prices were very reasonable. A hidden jewel family restaurant. I highly recommend

The food is amazing and it's just a soft touch of the perfect everything for a short night out on a date, a business meeting, formal, an informal meeting, just casual. Janie's is a place for everyone. It takes alot to impress me for restaurants. But seeing the Owner Mrs. Janie, herself move about the establishment and taking orders, cleaning tables, refilling drinks... I dont know how you can't fall in love with this place when the owner is still putting personal time and effort and passion into her establishment! The atmosphere is awesome. I recommend trying this place if you're undecided in the St.Tammany area, they will get you right!

Been eating at Janie Browns since I was a child. The atmosphere feels like home the staff never changes its family/ close friends. The food absolutely wonderful. Price point is very reasonable also get great bang for your $$Buck$
